Oswald the Lucky Rabbit

So, visiting Disneyland as a twenty-something by myself, I discovered that I really loved interacting with the characters, but... there wasn't always that much to build that interaction off of, and it usually ended up as 'Hug, photo, okay thanks bye'. Then a couple of things happened... I started doodling the various characters, particularly Oswald since he's fairly easy— then Disney announced Oswald would finally be a meetable character in the parks. I knew I *had* to see him, and it suddenly occurred to me that I could do a drawing of Oswald and ask him to sign it!

This is the first sketch I took to have autographed, on the first day Oswald was out (Sunday September 14th, if you're really curious). I think he rather liked it, as he proceeded to steal my notebook and show it off to the entire line. As a 'thank you', I drew a second sketch immediately afterwards and gave it to him as a gift.

As an added bonus, this kicked off my newfound fascination with drawing the characters and then getting them to sign the pictures.
